WIPA Certification & Recertification Training – Day 1

The course will be the weekend of May the 11th 9a-5p on Saturday and Sunday.

Chad is volunteering to run another WIPA level I beginner non planning instructors course. We already have a nearly full class but there is one more slot available.

This course will do two things. First, it will show you how to breakdown and teach basic non planning beginner skills to the WIPA standard. Second, it will improve your own sailing skills.

To obtain the certification these are the skills you will be learning and demonstrating.

Instructor candidates should sign up on the WIPA website  https://www.windsurfingipa.org/

Have basic windsurfing skills….  Be able to sail a course, complete tacks and perform non planning jibes some of the time.  If you don’t have full jibe proficiency you will after taking the course.

You’ll need a copy of  Tricktionary 3 it’s your instructors manual.  Finally you will need to have the desire and willingness to teach and spread the stoke of windsurfing to the masses.
